Our Mission Statement: To provide an association committed to educational and professional development in corporate travel for all members, while encouraging networking opportunities.

Why Join

Education and Professional Development: Monthly meetings featuring travel related speakers and panelists who inform attendees of the latest trends, technology and industry issues. Our parent organization, the Global Business Travel Association, offers the only certified program in the industry for business travel professionals, the Certified Corporate Travel Executive, CCTE. Funding for our individual education is not always easy to come by nor are companies always able to provide funds for furthering education. MSABTA assists by providing chapter level scholarships, such as Allied & Direct member of the year as well as support and access to scholarships provided by NBTA for CCTE and The Global Leadership (GLP). Networking and Industry

Benchmarking: MSABTA is a family of travel managers and suppliers with whom you can establish long-term bonds. The networking time prior to the each meeting allows both members and guests an opportunity to meet one another in a relaxed, casual setting. It also allows the opportunity to discuss and to determine Best Practices and benchmarks for your Travel Programs.

Education Opportunities: Education is our primary focus. In today's ever changing travel technology and industry, staying abreast of new developments enhances our job performance. MSABTA's Code of Ethics allows all of our members to be involved and learn with understood boundaries. Our members are given opportunities to learn about the industry hot topics through our programs & speakers each month. In our member’s only section of the website, PowerPoint presentations from previous educational sessions as well as web links to other organizations providing up to date industry news can be accessed.

Volunteer Committees: MSABTA places high value on the contributions of its members. The association has numerous standing and ad hoc committees which allow each member every opportunity to be actively involved in the management of the association as well as to grow as employees, employers and individuals.

Leadership Opportunities: The MSABTA board officers arise from the membership ranks. These members have demonstrated a decided interest and concerted involvement in the association's affairs and are elected by the general membership. Involvement in the leadership of the local association also involves you in the National Association opening more doors for personal growth.

Membership Directory: MSABTA publishes on our website an annual Membership Directory listing all the names, addresses, phones, faxes and e-mails of each member. The directory is an invaluable tool with which to quickly communicate with fellow MSABTA members. (This is accessible to only paid members)

Community Affairs: The MSABTA Board of Directors discusses opportunities to work within the community to provide support for selected Organizations and projects such as our fundraising golf tournament. These opportunities allow us to give back to the communities in which we work and live.

Variety: MSABTA is a great way to meet new people, expand your network and develop new business. You can do it all in a relaxed, easy, atmosphere. You have the opportunity be exposed to a variety of venues, other geographical locations, and to expand your education.
